Date of Walk: Saturday 14th June

Car Park: My car is a BLACK SAAB 93 SPORTWAGON OV55 EOY. It will be parked near Cywarch (SH 852 189), 4km North from Dinas Mawddwy

Route: The target is to climb the following "mountains" on "The Arans" :

  3. Foel Fawr SH853239
  4. Gwaun y Llwyni SH857204
  5. Point at SH851207
  6. Waen Camddwr SH847206

I will walk up the path North from Cywarch to the ridge, over the ridge and to small lakes near Pared yr Ychain, then to Foel Fawr, up onto the ridge to Pen-Aran and then back over Aran Fawddwy

Timing: I intend to arrive at the carpark by 9:00am and complete my walk by 5:00pm. If I am late arriving I will tell my checker or abandon the walk if I cannot get through by phone

Equipment Carried I will have plenty of food and water. Full set of waterproofs (Red Jacket), hi-vis vest, fleece, jumper, thermal top, appropriate hat, survival bag, 1:25000 map, compass, GPS, spare batteries for GPS, whistle, head torch, mobile phone (networks: Orange & Virgin), sturdy boots and walking poles.
